Danny played in the 2016 New York State Open (NYSO) at Bethpage Black, the incredibly challenging A.W. Tillinghast design that has hosted the U.S. Open (2002 and 2009) and the Barclays (2012 and 2016) and is scheduled to host the PGA Championship (2019) and the Ryder Cup (2024). These photos were taken during the second round of the NYSO on July 20, 2016, when Danny shot 71.
TGA is a national organization that introduces children to golf, tennis and many other sports. TGA of Southern Westchester conducts after-school programs, clinics and day camps in Westchester County, which is just north of New York City. Danny appeared at several TGA Premier Junior Golf day camps in July 2016, offering instruction to campers and sharing his passion for the game. The Sports Academy at Brookwood Camps in Glen Spey, N.Y., about 100 miles northwest of New York City, is one of the nation's premier summer camps. In addition to providing a traditional sleep-away camp experience, owners Scott and Jay Fiedler have developed week-long, intensive programs that focus on specific sports. In mid-July 2016, Danny was the lead instructor for Golf Week.
